Chris is a proud Florida native with a lifelong love for pets and people. After hanging up his grooming shears, he leaned fully into his passion for creating businesses that make life better for both furry friends and their humans. 

His entrepreneurial journey started in 2012 with a humble aquarium cleaning and maintenance company, and since then he’s poured his energy into launching three more ventures across different industries—each one reflecting a new spark of passion.

When he’s not dreaming up the next big idea, you can usually find Chris at home, laughing and playing in the backyard with his family and their six beloved dogs. For him, life is all about joy, connection, and wagging tails.

Hey there! I’m a Tennessee native with a life that’s always had a paw print (or hoofprint) stamped on it. I grew up surrounded by animals—my loyal Chow Chow, Bear, and three unforgettable horses: Texas Pow-Wow, Black Hawk, and Scarlet.

Creativity runs deep in my roots: I dove into photography and graphic design over 20 years ago, capturing moments and turning visions into visuals. Along the way, I’ve also logged 18 years of customer service experience—so whether it’s people or pets, I know how to keep things running smoothly.

Fast forward to today: I share my life with four Siberian Huskies who keep me busy, laughing, and covered in fur. We’re active in AKC Conformation and Fast CAT, because why just admire Huskies when you can watch them strut their stuff and chase the lure at full speed?

Since 2015, I’ve been grooming Northern breeds—first through running a Siberian Husky rescue and more recently in a professional salon since January 2024. Spoiler alert: I’ve learned that “dog hair is a fashion accessory,” and I wear it proudly.

So, whether it’s behind the camera, at a grooming table, or cheering and handling my Huskies around the ring, I’m all about blending passion, creativity, and a little bit of fur-covered chaos into everything I do.

I’m a proud mom of six kiddos — two grown and married, and four still at home. I’m also a grandma (yes, grandma). My oldest daughter, who’s his momma, is training with me to become a groomer. My oldest son serves in the Army.

I began in 2006 as a dog trainer, focusing on obedience, rehab, and rescues. Training wasn’t my forever lane, so I pivoted to grooming — learning hands-on under a mentor before opening my first salon in 2008.

I’ve tested brand after brand live on TikTok, fully transparent so no one’s left guessing. And while I discovered some gems, Funky Poodle kept standing toe-to-toe with the industry giants. What sold me wasn’t just their shampoos and conditioners — it was their leadership, transparency, and the way they shine the spotlight on us groomers instead of themselves.

That’s true Coach energy — athletes may be coached, but it’s their own names that earn the trophies. Funky Poodle does the same for us: stepping back so we shine.
